Alpesh will step in for conductor Rafael Payare in several concerts with Ulster Orchestra in mid-April.
Friday 15 April sees Alpesh conduct a programme inspired by the works of Shakespeare, including Tchaikovsky's two Fantasy Overtures to Hamlet and The Tempest, as well as excerpts from the complete ballet of Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. On Wednesday 20 April, Alpesh conducts a lunchtime concert including Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture and the Overture and Incidental Music excerpts from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream. On Friday 22, the programme features Schumann’s Symphony No.1 and Wieniawski’s romantic Violin Concerto No.2 among other works. Finally, on Saturday 23 April, Alpesh conducts "The Ulster Orchestra in Love and Literature".
